What I love to do on my spare time is to game. I love to play in the virtual world from Modern warfare 3 to World of Warcraft. Currently I catch myself on Second Lives a lot a virtual world where almost anything is possible. Why game? Well the adrenaline rush of being in a warzone in Modern Warfare 3. The challenge of working as a team to find your way through a dungeon in World of Warcraft, especially if it's people you just met. Second Life lets me keep in touch with my friends around the world and interact with their avatars. It's a nice way to chat like were in a chat room but also explore virtual art, create things, and other things that may come our way in a safe environment. So yes it's a no brainer for me. Load me up in that virtual world and game on.
Ok, my favorite book some may laugh at, but it's Mick Foley's Have a Nice Day. Now before you start let me say I'm not a wrestling fan. I picked this up on the recommendation of a friend and also seeing it was on the New York Times best seller's lists. I was actually quite surprised by Foley's abilities to write being if I recall a first time author. It tells the past of his trials as a young boy who grows up aspiring to wrestle in the WWF, and follows him up to the point of him achieving this dream. The stories are quite amusing and you can Foley has a charm about him that you can't just put the book down. I've read it now six times and keep it always easily accessible.
Buying a car is really tricky most especially during the current economical status. But then, why is it that there are still a lot of people who are tempted to buy new cars? Well, with the trending financial crisis, there seems to have a trend in finance institutions, too. In that regard, individuals should be extra careful especially when they are being offered impractical bad credit car finance that could just help you get buried in too much debt. So, be sure to take into consideration your current expenses, recurring fees, and other expenditures that could add up to the financial turmoil you are most likely to face.
The furthest I ever traveled away from home was during my junior year of high school. I went on a trip to Washington, D.C., from Seattle, WA. It was through an organization called Close-Up, where high school students had the opportunity to learn about our American government up close. We had a variety of educational activities, and well as fun events. For education, we attended committee hearings, took tours of the Smithsonian and various monuments, and participated in leadership exercises. For fun, I particularly remember taking a charter bus trip to a dinner theater, where the waiters and waitresses performed “A Chorus Line.” We also had great dance party at the end of the week before we said our goodbyes. I was lucky that the major airlines were on strike when it came time to return. My flight was delayed by a day, and having nothing on my agenda, I spent the day lying in the glorious sunshine right in the middle of “The Mall,” and I didn’t even care that I came home to Seattle with a painful sunburn.
When applying for credit cards, there are some companies that prefer to check the credit rating. On the other hand, with the tight competition in the industry in the recent times, there are those who are offering the tempting no credit check credit cards that may seem to appear quite unsecure for those institutions. But, the fact is that these institutions should be more vigilant in ensuring that their borrowers are really capable of paying their debts back. In the long run, they will just suffer the consequences of having to be run down by some individuals without the capacity to pay.
My weekends have a very special rhythm, and once Friday night comes, the clock starts ticking and before you know it, Monday morning is here and I go back to the merry-go-round world of work. Weekends usually consist of the same activities: grocery shopping, laundry, ironing, cooking, cleaning and spending time with my elderly mother. Rarely do I deviate from this routine, since I never have time to accomplish these things during the week. Occasionally I will go out and do some work in the garden, but it is only if I’ve been able to finish one or two of my chores early. Next month, I am planning on spending a weekend in Charleston, South Carolina. This will be the first time in several years that I’ve been able to get away for a weekend, but I know that once I return, everything will be piled up, waiting for me to get at it. Last weekend it was shopping, laundry, ironing, cooking, cleaning and spending time with my mother. This weekend it will be the same. A woman’s work is never done!
There are so many things that I would want to change about the world, but I’ve realized that no matter what I do or what I say, it would make very little difference . The world is a selfish place that has gotten even more self-centered over the years. However, if I could make one little change, I would wave my magic want and ensure that every man, woman and child had enough food to eat, enough clothes to wear and a warm, safe and dry place to call home. As simple as that may sound, it really wound be a profound gift to humanity if everyone had these simple, basic necessities. Everything else might be tolerable if the basic needs of humanity could be met.
$1,000 to spend at Target? Yes, please! Target has plenty of brand name items to offer alongside some slammin’ deals, so I would choose a $1,000 shopping spree at Target. I would go nuts- spending hours poring over each aisle, throwing cosmetics, clothes, shoes, electronics, and food into my cart until it overflowed into a second cart, and a third, and possibly a fourth! My first instinct when I heard “shopping spree” was to kick back in the riches that Nordstrom has to offer, but I know my money would go so much further at Target. This isn’t even mentioning the fact that I spend a ton of money there anyway, meanwhile I don’t usually make a habit of Nordstrom, even though I love it! If I had to choose which day I was able to spend my $1,000, I would go for Black Friday, that outrageous day after Thanksgiving when everything is on sale. Just thinking about all the bargain movies and Christmas decorations I could buy makes me anxious for Black Friday, even without a wad of shopping spree cash!
